St. Nicholas Argonauts

Who Are the Argonauts?

Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for seniors to share fellowship with old friends and to make new ones through luncheons held at the St. Nicholas Cultural Center or other locations.  The Argonauts organize several trips throughout the year to shows, monasteries, museums and many sites of interest.  We also invite speakers to elaborate on topics pertinent to senior citizens. .

The seniors always get involved in church projects either through participation or donations and supporting the youth.

Events & Activities

Monthly Luncheons:
Our members look forward to our monthly Argonauts’ luncheon, which usually takes place in the St. Nicholas Cultural Center but has been conducted at various nearby restaurants.  The February luncheon is one of the most highly anticipated, as Valentine’s Day treats can be found gracing the tables along with the rest of the meal. The Vasilopita Luncheon in January, as well as the Lenten Potluck Luncheon, are also especially loved.

A few times a year, the group travels together. It has visited places like Holy Trinity Monastery in Smith's Creek, Frankenmuth, Mount Pleasant, and even Stratford, Canada.
